Honeydew is the newest system in our proactive SR&ED platform, centred around generating intelligence from your development processes. Honeydew consists of a set of custom-developed machine learning models in conjunction with a fine-tuned LLM to examine your issues, commits and pull requests. It creates monthly and annual reports on your work activities, clustering them into logical groups, and highlights time spent on efforts throughout the year. Our technical team evaluates the information to identify areas of potential SR&ED eligibility and areas where we can grow your claim through systematic experimentation.
Having participated in and successfully defended numerous SR&ED audits, we’ve embedded intelligence within the Honeydew reports so that they can act as an additional layer of documentation for your claim, with timelines reconciled to your commit history and issues.

Honeydew uses industry-standard OAuth plugins to connect all major source control and issue management systems. Our plugins request the minimum possible read permissions to query your data.
By enabling Honeydew on your issue management system, we perform a monthly analysis of tickets using our custom AI to categorize issues, generate a timeline, analyze work efforts and attribute time to tickets on a rolling basis. Our AI does a further deep dive to examine the technologies you are using to enable our team to create comprehensive questions ahead of the interview process.
Honeydew can also examine your source control repositories to generate an additional layer of documentation and analysis for your SR&ED claims. Our models will examine your source repositories and issues to build an understanding of the work your team has performed, using proprietary code complexity analysis models to attribute difficulty, categories and efforts to your work on an automated basis.

As this information is generated continuously, throughout the fiscal year, with a summary included at the end of your fiscal year, Honeydew helps create the ‘contemporaneous documentation’ CRA looks for during audits, and more importantly, helps our team identify potential eligibility and intervention points as a part of our proactive services, maximizing your claims. ... and in case you were wondering, Honeydew is named after the brilliant inventor, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.
